Respecting the Environment
As a public transport operator, Transdev exercises an industrial activity that contributes to the preservation of the planet’s ecological balance. Accordingly, and because its activity is a source of pollution (greenhouse gas emissions, noise…) Transdev acknowledges its responsibilities by minimising its ecological footprint.
The Group already has some 15 Bilans Carbone® (carbon assessments) that were carried out by networks in France, Italy and the United Kingdom.
Programmes to train drivers to drive responsibly are becoming widespread, for example in France, United Kingdom and Germany.
This policy to reduce environmental impact also includes fleet modernisation. Transdev has brought its vehicle fleet into compliance with European standards and is at the forefront of “green” modes and electric road or river shuttles.
To optimize the solutions proposed to the local authorities, Transdev has developed a “Co2 solutions configurator”.
